I will be packing these areas with herbs, edible flowers and beneficial plants of all kinds on top of the plum, hazelnut, service berry, raspberry, pawpaw, elderberry and fig that are already there.

I like radish but I always leave a bunch in the ground to bolt and produce these culinary delights. I can't walk through the garden without grabbing a handful to munch on.
They are perfect to add to a salad for a little spice or take it a step further and pickle them to enjoy later.
Who else enjoys the tasty garden snacks?

I think I'm gonna need a bigger bowl! It has been I think I'm gonna need a bigger bowl! It has been a great year for the broccoli as well as all the brassicas. It's kind of hard to believe because it has been really hot, but for some reason they hung in there and have provided well.

Just picked up a couple of Service Berry and Pink Just picked up a couple of Service Berry and Pink  Gooseberry for the food forest at a local nursery for a great price.
Every year I swing by this nursery and he always has something he never had before that is perfect for my property. 
I think I would swing by just for the chat. Always great to talk to someone face to face who gets what your doing and has similar goals.

Cherries, peaches, apples and pears all doing grea Cherries, peaches, apples and pears all doing great this year. Many young fruit trees like plums, pawpaw, figs, etc. all still too young to produce.
When you first start planting a food forest the reward of your labor seems so far away but when it finally arrives it makes it all the better.

I love this time of the year when the garden is ju I love this time of the year when the garden is just starting to pop. Trees are setting their fruit, strawberries are in full force, the other berries are beginning to load up for a good harvest and we are just starting to enjoy a few fresh greens and root crops.
